 STARS advances the message of abstinence-before-marriage as the only standard for adolescent behavior. This character-based abstinence-before-marriage program is designed to equip participating youth with skills necessary to make wholesome life choices. Principal Objectives of the research-based STARS are:

Foster in at-risk youth, social, behavioral and moral competence,

Assist at-risk youth in the development of individual self-determination and a clear and positive identity, and

Assist parents/guardians in supporting the wholesome life choices of their adolescents

To further assist youth, the STARS program has also developed a Parent Education component. Through regularly scheduled meetings, parents/guardians of STARS participants will have a forum for discussion and development of effective parenting techniques. The content will parallel the abstinence-before-marriage education received by their adolescents.
